Bureau Veritas is looking for a

Laboratory Analyst - Petroleum Lab - Fulltime

DESCRIPTION:

Work safely and smartly in a highpaced lab environment.
Consistently produce reliable analytical test results in a timely fashion following Quality protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Perform analysis of petroleum products using a wide variety of test methods and operating equipment of varying degrees of sophistication in a safe and efficient manner.
Collect samples from customer locations (includes refinery) using a company vehicle.
Adhere to and maintain the Quality Management System & established Quality Control protocols.
Accountable for the accuracy and precision of the data produced.
Maintain an acceptable level of housekeeping in the Laboratory.
Troubleshooting of equipment in the Laboratory.

QUALIFICATION:

Diploma or degree in Chemistry or Chemical Technology from a postsecondary institution.
One to two years of related experience would be an asset, but not required.
Strong verbal & written communication skills.
Must be computer literate with strong familiarity to Microsoft Office and database programs.
Must be able to multitask which includes time management and communication.
TAT centric and can rearrange priorities to achieve maximum efficiency.
Strong sense of urgency and the ability to adapt as needed
Must be able to work as part of a team to meet customer requirements.
Must be Flexible to work

Monday to Friday biweekly rotating shift (6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.)

Or

Biweekly rotating Weekend shift - Thursday to Sunday (10 hours each day) biweekly rotating Thur/Fri 8 am-6:30 pm and 12 pm - 10:30 pm
