Summary
Reporting to Facilities Supervisor, the Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the building in a clean and orderly condition.

The Cleaner will perform heavy cleaning duties using potentially hazardous chemicals and hot water to clean surfaces, as well as continuously relieve floor surfaces of any debris, dust, and other fallen objects.

Responsibilities

Clean floor surfaces by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
Service, clean, and supply washrooms and lunchrooms
Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks.
Remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas, using snowplows, snow blowers, and snow shovels, and spread snow melting chemicals.
Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events such as customer visits and audits.
Spray disinfectants, insecticides, and fumigants to prevent bacterial, insect and rodent infestation.
Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
Clean kitchen equipment, such as glassware and metal utensils, using solvents, brushes, rags, and automatic cleaning equipment.
Drive vehicles required to perform cleaning work such as rideon sweepers.
Completes all required inspection checklists with accuracy
Maintains an organized, safe, and efficient warehouse environment.
Conducts all duties in compliance with GMP and Safety policies and procedures.
Participates in all GMP, Associate Safety, Food Safety, and other applicable training.
Reports any food safety and/or Associate or property safetyrelated accidents, incidents, and hazardous conditions.

Physical Conditions/Hazards

Atmosphere may range from cool to warm and humid.
Standing and walking for long periods of time.
Frequently bending, crouching, twisting, kneeling, and crawling while cleaning and sanitizing.
Maneuvering heavy objects, including frequently lifting (floor to waist, waist to shoulders, and overhead) and carrying up to 25kg.
Exposure to job related hazards, including but not limited to heavy objects, chemicals, hot water, climbing ladders and stairs, heights, and slippery floors.
Heavy forklift traffic.
