Description
You will be responsible for a wide variety of duties in support of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Duties include but are not limited to bookkeeping, filing, reception, scheduling appointments, and drafting both internal and external correspondence.

We are a rapidly growing franchise company and hope you will be able to grow with us.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Bookkeeping for various accounts
  • Verify and enter invoices
  • Produce payments
  • Create and followup invoices
  • Communicate with customers and different departments concerning payables and receivables
  • Reconcile ledger accounts with the necessary documents
  • Prepare and record all required journal entries
  • Prepare and file GST and QST reports
  • Prepare required reports
  • Assist in preparation of the annual financial statements
  • Prepare required documents for audits
  • Assist in preparation of company tax returns (asset)
  • Review documents, reports, and correspondence prepared for executive signature for format, content, grammar, and spelling and make edits as necessary
  • Review, evaluate, and distribute priority incoming and outgoing correspondence for the CFO
  • Maintain confidentiality, and professionally interact with employees, management, and others at all times
  • Other duties as may reasonably be assigned.

Requirements:


  • 2 or more years of experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of office and accounting programs: QuickBooks, MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat
  • DEP/ AEC or Certificate in bookkeeping or accounting (must)
  • Demonstrate independence, adaptability, a keen sense of organization and responsibility.
  • Have a good level of spoken and written English (must) and French (preferred).
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a deadline driven environment

GENERAL INFORMATION:

Compensation commensurate to experience. The finalists will be interviewed in person at the Head Office.
