"General Accountability:
- This posting is for current and upcoming opportunities which may involve working various shifts (primarily nights)/off days and various work reporting locations, which may vary as directed by work assignments.
- Provides supervisory assistance by monitoring and managing the work performed by employees in the section (e.g., involving the rehabilitation and/or maintenance of Subway track or tunnelrelated work). May include supervising contracted workers as well. Assists in the coordination (e.g., planning work schedules, familiarizing employees with their work and safety procedures) of work in the section.
Key Job Functions:
- Ensure policies, safety and track maintenance projects are aligned with standards. Must ensure employees are appropriately trained on aspects of work;
- Verify the accuracy, quality, reliability, functionality, system requirements, and/or specifications are met in a given process, document, piece of equipment, system, or work method;
- Complete tasks required to manage people (administrative duties) along with approving or authorizing requests which are up to standard and meet related policy expectations and compliance regulations;
- Plan, adjust, and project work, schedules, costs, and systems as needed;
- Provide assistance in the preparation, development, monitoring, or other needs for a given project or organizational unit;
- Inspect equipment items and rebuild or improve functionality through forming, bending, welding, or other methods of fabrication;
- Monitor and track information, data, records, and/or equipment, follow up, and update as required;
- Input or record data, and organize resources (e.g., estimates, employeerelated documented, schedules, inventory), prepare documentation and/or reports, and distribute to the appropriate parties in accordance with established standards;
- Participation in the TTC Customer Service Ambassador Program;

Skills:
- Identify and minimize risk of Health and Safety issues
- Demonstrate specialized expertise and knowledge in the assigned field
- Communicate in a variety of mediums
Education and Experience:
- Completion of a postsecondary college diploma or university degree in a related discipline or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent;
- Practical and progressive experience in the techniques of structural concrete rehabilitation and repair work is preferred;
- Previous supervisory experience in structural rehabilitation or a related field would be an asset.
Additional Requirements:
- Knowledge of construction techniques including concrete/structural steel rehabilitation, repair of bridges and structures, etc.;
- Ability read and comprehend detailed construction blueprints, design drawings, sketches and technical specifications;
- Ability to direct, motivate and coordinate the efforts of a unionized workforce to accomplish objectives;
- Will be required to attend and successfully complete various supervisory, safety and technical training programs related to the section and Structure Maintenance.
