About Briton House:

At The Briton House we have created a remarkable and historic retirement centre. The Briton House has had the tradition of caring for people since 1976.

We offer a wide variety of activities, large suites and the ability to enjoy a magnificent indoor garden all year round.

Our facility also includes a splendid recital hall, a glass domed swimming pool, an exercise area and an attractive dining lounge.

In addition to offering care services in our independent living suites we also have three assisted living floors.

These features, together with our experienced and sensitive staff, help us to enhance the lives of many seniors, and enable us to uphold our tradition of warmly caring for our residents.

Mission Statement:

The Briton House Retirement Centre endeavors to honour its residents and serve their individual needs in a warm, caring and compassionate manner.

Requirements:

Must have experience with janitorial duties, ideally in a retirement residence setting.
Basic tool knowledge. Must be able to perform minor repairs to resident's suites and building exterior/interior.
Valid Driver's License and able to drive our Jeep to remove large rolling garbage bins.
Clear communication skills, reading and writing English required.
Good interpersonal skills, able to be patient dealing with residents.
Detail oriented and someone that takes initiative and performs tasks before being asked.
Reliable/ punctual.
Capable of heavy lifting (food/bed moving/garbage/carpet/snow shoveling).

Schedule:

Thursday - Monday (8AM to 4PM)

Other days might be required to cover shifts.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent

Salary:
$21.60-$22.39 per hour
