Overview


The Research Ethics Coordinator reports to the Manager, Research and Innovation and works closelywith the REB Chair and REB members to support their decision process, through interpreting national and institutional policies and procedures.

Education

  • At minimum, a Bachelor's degree in a healthrelated field or equivalent combination of education/experience related to clinical trials

Qualifications:


  • Strong knowledge of the most recent Tri-Council Policy and Ethical Conduct for Research involving Human Subjects guidelines
  • Must be able to communicate and liaise effectively with the REB Chair, Vice-Chair, investigators, research coordinators and administrative staff across MGH and partner organizations
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to analyze and interpret investigator inquiries and synthesize REB feedback in the context of federal regulations and MGH policies and procedures
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • A high degree of professionalism and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to use discretion and manage confidential data
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Advanced computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Experience with database management and data entry an asset
