MARKETING SPECIALIST (Hybrid)
The incumbent is responsible to plan, design, create, develop, implement and evaluate marketing
plans for the Economic Development & Strategic Projects Department. This includes the production
of digital and print promotional materials.


Successful applicants will possess the following:

  • Post-Secondary Degree in Marketing, Creative Advertising, Digital Media or a related discipline.
  • 2 years experience in marketing research, copy writing, and graphic design of which at least one
year should be in direct target market designing.

current Desktop Publishing Applications, including Adobe (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop),
Canva, FTP, (file transfer protocol), image scanning, to design and produce promotional materials

a digital camera. Understands the process of preparing artwork for commercial printing.

  • Proven advanced expertise in digital promotion, social media, print design, presentation
production, copy writing, event planning and production of promotional goods

  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, organizational, customer service and communication (both
written and verbal) skills. Skilled problem solver and creative thinker.

  • Proven ability to maintain effective working relationships and deals courteously and professionally
with employees, media representatives, municipal authorities, and members of the public.

  • Proven ability to work effectively and efficiently on tight deadlines.
  • Skilled problem solver and creative thinker.
  • Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Must have a personal vehicle for use in the performance of duties and possess a valid Class "G"
Ontario Driver's Licence. Must provide consent to conduct regular driver's abstracts through the
Ministry of Transportation. A clean driving record is preferred.
Compensation includes the ability to work a hybrid remote schedule, a comprehensive benefits
package, pension plan, and a salary ranging from $41.40/hr. to $46.00/hr. based on 35 hours per
week.
