Job Summary:
Our client is a leading low to mid-rise developer committed to creating sustainable, innovative, and quality living spaces across Toronto.
They are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Construction Project Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of development projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets in coordination with site superintendents, consultants, and contractors.
- Facilitate project meetings, prepare meeting agendas, and document meeting minutes for distribution among stakeholders
- Prepare initial project costing, review estimates, and monitor project budgets against actual costs.
- Evaluate tenders, negotiate contracts, and manage contract administration processes.
- Coordinate and supervise daily construction activities, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
- Manage and update project documentation including drawings, specifications, and closeout documents.
- Identify resource requirements, procure materials and equipment, and manage onsite logistics efficiently.
- Resolve jobsite challenges promptly, recommending strategies to enhance productivity and effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with occupational safety standards, conducting regular site inspections, and addressing safety concerns promptly.
- Oversee the implementation of health and safety protocols, training initiatives, and incident reporting procedures.
- Source competitive pricing from suppliers and contractors, issue purchase orders, and oversee procurement processes.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Employer, contributing to the overall success of projects.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in construction project management within low to midrise development.
- Proficient in project management software and MS Office Suite.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problemsolving skills.
- Indepth knowledge of construction processes, codes, and regulations.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
