STRABAG is actively seeking a PLAA Manager for our Canadian division where he/she can utilize their extensive knowledge to contribute to the continued success and have an in-depth knowledge of the permits, licenses, agreements, and approvals required for LRT construction projects.
Job Summary:
The PLAA manager will be responsible for obtaining and tracking permits submission, renewals, and setting the seal on obligations that are being met.
Main Functional Links:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide the necessary documents to enable onschedule construction
- Monitor permits and approval processes through the project lifecycle
- Manage license approvals and thirdparty approvals
- Ensuring that external Stakeholders and Governmental Authorities are engaged when appropriate to obtain feedback
- Coordinating internal and external regulatory approval processes
- Managing relationships with Stakeholders, including Governmental Authorities
- Leading the coordination and the scheduling of meetings with Stakeholders, as needed.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Selfmotivated, with strong analytical skills, and detail oriented.
- Excellent organizational, communication (both written and oral), and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
- Possess the following personal qualities: integrity, creativity, high standards, commitment, ethical values, and achievement oriented.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in railway operations
- Expertise in license and permits approvals on transit projects
- Solid understanding of Ontario Provincial Legislations and acts.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 10 lbs.
Work Environment:
The employee is generally required to work on a construction site.
