Job Summary:


The Field Installation Manager will report directly to the Regional Market Manager and will be an integral part of the field installation team.

Develops effective and professional relationships with colleagues. Manages and leads a part-time field installation team to execute all installation and product revision activities at store level.

The Field Installation Manager will collaborate with field members, internal partners, and account level management to drive optimal retail installation results within all our channel retailers.


Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Leads the field team with instore revisions and installations of the card departments. Partners with the Territory Manager with the installation details and leads assigned installations in the territory.
  • Manage schedule as set out by the Fixture Leader or Regional Market Manager, being flexible to accommodate dates as they are paced or updated. Assesses labour requirements for each renovation/new store installation, and coordinates team members based on personnel and hours availability. Includes providing all relevant job information to labour to ensure knowledge of who, what when and where.
  • Flexibility is required to react to issues that arise on a job site that interfere with original priorities. Capability of handling ongoing interruptions, constantly shifting program and customer priorities, overlapping deadlines and unpredictable workload.
  • Resolve fixture execution issues, partnering with team members to assess the issue and identify the appropriate solution. Some situations may require developing short term solutions to display product until the permanent solution is ready to be implemented.
  • Emphasizes the need for and value of safe working practices and ensures installation team is accountable to Hallmark Canada standards and government regulations.
  • Demonstrates integrity in handling of confidential corporate information and personal information relating to the installation team members.
  • Manages all resources within budgeted guidelines.
  • Assists with servicing accounts during times of low installation activity

Communication Skills:


  • Maintains ongoing scheduled/unscheduled communication with Fixture Leader and Regional Market Manager to ensure current knowledge of upcoming programs.
  • Liaises with account management as Hallmark representative relative to installation activities and builds/maintains strong working relationships with account level management.
  • Communicates clearly to Territory Manager or Regional Market Manager on installation results upon completion.

Qualifications & Experience required:


  • High School Diploma
  • Must be bilingual
  • Must have general construction and carpentry skills, including use of basic construction equipment/tools.
  • Retail experience preferred, particularly in the area of fixture and merchandising assembly and set up.
  • Ability to lift /push/pull 50+ lbs.
  • Must have a vehicle.
  • Must be able to travel when required and be flexible to be away from home for overnight periods.
  • Good verbal and written skills.
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, etc)
