SKCOOKKS CARIBBEAN is a new Caribbean dine-in and take-out restaurant and We have authentic caribbean food, as well as new caribbean menu choices such as roti wraps & pastries.

Our food accommodates our upcoming Caribbean community with warm rich flavors from Guyana, Trinidad & Tobago, Jamaica, as well as other parts of the Caribbean.

We're seeking an individual with the following skill set and requirements:
(We ask for you to be AVAILABLE FRIDAYS, SATURDAYS AND SUNDAYS)

  • Minimum 23 years' experience in preparing Caribbean cuisine
  • Execute menu according to the Company's standards; Oversee daytoday culinary operations of Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner meal periods
  • Prepares highquality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules
  • Prepare all marinated meats and fish in advance; Ensuring quality standards of prepped food and line production including freshness and quality of ingredients, proper cooking, proper plating, and adherence to recipes
  • Have experience and manage rotisserie chicken oven.
  • Ensure that food is at the correct temperature at all times.
  • Ability to stay current with food trends and create food that excites our guests
  • Serves meals by using correct portioning and meeting outlined standards
  • Cleans, sanitizes work stations and equipment
  • Ability to adapt to changes to the menu
  • Assist in control of inventory and supplies
  • Willingness to learn and support the Company brand
  • Open to work days, nights, weekends and possibly holidays
  • Ability to work in a team environment, great work ethics and highly motivated
  • Responsible for compliance with NYC/NASSAU COUNTY food safety standards is a plus
  • Good time management
  • Perform other duties as necessary during downtime

Salary:
$15.50-$20.00 per hour

Experience:


  • Cooking: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Food Handler Certification (preferred)
