The Scheduler reports to the Health Services Manager and is responsible for scheduling staff at Musquodoboit Valley Memorial Hospital and Musquodoboit Valley Home for Special Care (Braeside).
The scheduler does data entry for payroll for both sites as well system configuration, pay cycle processes, off cycle activities and reports for payroll at the long term care facility.
About You:
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Grade 12 plus completion of a one year Office Administration and/or payroll administration course
- One year experience in a health care setting; experience in long term care preferred
- Knowledge and experience with payroll, scheduling and employee benefits
- Knowledge of payroll systems (Time Capture, Ceridian)
- Knowledge of NSH policies, procedures and collective agreements
- Proficiency with all components of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook)
- Ability to mulittask
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills, strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to deal with numerous interruptions and continuous change an asset
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
A skills test will be administered as part of the selection process
Hours:
- Long Assignment Fulltime (100%) position, 70 hours Bi-Weekly
- Beginning as soon as possible with an expected end date of January 15, 202
- Day/ Evening/ Weekend shifts
Compensation and Incentives:
$ $24.31 Hourly
