Individuals passionate about cannabis looking to get a foot hold in the industry. Successful completion of secondary school. A willingness to work hard and having care for your work.
A background in packaging is considered an asset, but not a requirement.
A willingness to learn Maricann's practices and adhere to its standards.
A passing criminal record check Minimum age of 19 years
Duties:
As a production technician, you will be heavily involved in the post-harvest aspects/ packaging of product /trimming experience preferred
Trimming, bottling, and packaging of dried flower.
Upkeep and sanitization of the operations building on a daily basis. Maintaining a sanitary working environment during each task.
Completing (at times) repetitive tasks while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail. Standing or sitting, depending on the task, for long periods of time.
Wearing appropriate PPE during each shift throughout the workday. Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time.
Meeting and stiving to exceed production targets daily.
Ensuring accurate and timely records per Health Canada requirements, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Good Production Practices (GPP); tracking physical inventory to ensure it matches paper records.
Supporting your direct Manager by proactively flagging issues so the fulfillment and Quality Assurance (QA) teams are engaged early on for any production issues.
Working Conditions:
Work in an operations building that is climate controlled. Ability to work in hot/humid climates.
A Monday to Friday work week
Employees are entitled to two 30-minute breaks throughout the workday. Voluntary overtime available.
Able to lift up to 7.5kgs.
Standing, sitting, walking and repetitive motions.
Hanging with some wicked buds
Salary:
$17.55 per hour
