Team OverviewThe Patient Experience Team (PEX) team is a multifunctional team of colleagues whose purpose is to partner with rare disease community key stakeholders (e.g., patients, caregivers, physicians) to identify and bring to the Alexion organization key insights about living with a rare disease and to ensure these insights are utilized in all of Alexions drug development decisions.

One part of the PEX Team is the Global Patient Insights & Solutions (GPIS) team which supports the drug development process and product marketing by ensuring that the patient voice, experience, and perspective is understood and shared with all colleagues.

GPIS achieves this objective via two complementary strategic programs, Solutions to Accelerate Results for Patients (STAR) and Learn, Evolve, Activate, deliver for Patients (LEAP).

STAR is Alexions patient centered idea accelerator, that partners with crossfunctional groups of Alexion colleagues to identify opportunities and cocreate solutions for patients.


LEAP is an actionoriented immersive simulation that provides Alexion colleagues the opportunity to develop an empathic perspective of the patient and other stakeholder experiences.


This is what you will do:

The Medical Affairs Global Patient Experience (LEAP) Manager supports the strategy, development, and delivery of Alexions patient centric programming.

This individual will help drive enterprisewide initiatives to enhance Alexions mission to become the #1 patient centric company in rare disease.

This individual will be a crossfunctional partner as we seek to drive forward priority GPIS programs, capabilities, communications and implementation plans to ensure lasting impact and measurable success.


You will be responsible for:
Working with the Sr.

Director, Enterprise LEAP Lead, develop unique LEAP programs (e.g., Leading Business, diversity, clinical trial) to embed patientcentered leadership across all functions and levels of the organizationLead briefing meetings with country medical and commercial leads in advance of country LEAPs to support launches and new indications.


This includes:
Train the trainer sessions, presenting on Alexions patientcentric ambitionPartner with teams after the experience to identify key insights and opportunities to impact the patient experienceManage New Hire Orientation (NHO) LEAP Serve as liaison to HR team to ensure that all new employees experience and appreciate Alexions patient centric culture as part of onboarding


Specific responsibilities include:

Ensure consistent delivery of new hire LEAPs, facilitate LEAP sessions in coordination with other employeesConduct quarterly facilitator feedback sessions and update LEAP experiences based on feedback or in line with data updatesBuild reports, dashboards, and metrics reports as neededContribute to slide development for executive presenationsMonitor LEAP simulations to determine if and what type of updates, edits, additions are needed; make update recommendations to the Sr.

Director, Enterprise LEAP LeadUpdate LEAP simulations based on facilitator feedback, in consultation with the Sr. Director, Enterprise LEAP LeadServe as LEAP Liaison to direct Alexion markets and enterprise or functional teamsField and triage all LEAP session requests and align with GPIS team on implementationIdentify innovative opportunities for GPIS to partner with external stakeholders including patients, PAGs, and HCPsManage LEAP simulation schedule; create and maintain LEAP sessions schedule for all markets, functional teams, etc.; organize and coordinate calendar invitations and follow up as neededServe as a GPIS TA/Indication representative to functional teams (e.g., Patient Advocacy, Global Product Teams, country/market affiliate reps, functional teams)

Vendor management as required for LEAP simulation builds You will need to have:

Bachelors degree3+ years of experience in the Biotech/Pharmaceutical Industry or equivalentResultsoriented selfstarterStrong scientific, medical, clinical knowledgeDemonstrated passion for patientfocused workExcellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skillsFamiliarity with clinical and drug development processAbility to operate in a complex environment and to drive transformational projects without precedentThe duties of this role are generally conducted in an office environment.
