Position:
Shipper/Receiver Supervisor
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the shipping and receiving departments to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Manage and train warehouse staff, ensuring safe operation of forklifts and adherence to safety protocols.
- Coordinate daily tasks to facilitate efficient warehouse operations.
- Establish delivery routes, oversee the loading of transportation vehicles, and ensure the unloading of materials at the warehouse.
- Collaborate with transportation companies, customs officials, and warehouse supervisors to ensure orderly and timely shipping and delivery.
- Obtain shipping quotes and select transportation services based on costeffectiveness and reliability.
- Monitor outgoing and incoming shipping activities to ensure the condition and accuracy of shipments.
- Handle financial transactions related to shipping services and maintain accurate records.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating forklifts and a valid forklift certification.
- Experience in a supervisory role within a distribution or logistics environment.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in inventory software, databases, including Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Work Environment:
- Typically works in a warehouse setting.
- Involves physical activities such as lifting and moving goods.
- Requires coordination with various departments and external entities.
Compensation:

Up to
$25 per hour.
- This role offers the potential for a
permanent position upon successful performance.
