Our Team


The Talent Acquisition team leads Vale's efforts to attract, recruit and hire top talent to meet Vale's short and long-term business goals.

Members of this team support a variety of clients across our Canadian Operations and Corporate Functions while collaborating with each other and contributing towards initiatives designed to deliver best in class Talent Acquisition practices.


The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a
Recruiter to join our
Talent Acquisition Team .
_This is an 18-month fixed term position based at a home office. _

In this position, you will:

  • Own the endtoend fullcycle recruitment for technical and nontechnical permanent resources, using all available technology and tools, and keeping a high level of focus on diversity.
  • Remain current on external talent pools, talent personas, salary levels, hourly rates, market, geographical, and other trends within specialized roles.
  • Develop and foster collaborative professional relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide advice and coaching to hiring managers regarding recruitment best practices and ethics.
  • Conduct recruitment and selection process within established global guidelines and standards.

About You
Education

  • Post-Secondary education in Business and/or Human Resources.
  • Registered Professional Recruitment (RRP) is considered an asset.
Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in Talent Acquisition, in a fastpaced, complex, large, and dynamic organization.
  • Experience with large volume recruitment efforts and conducting a diverse range of behavioral interviews.
  • Experience working with applicant tracking systems and other HRIS, such as Peoplesoft, SAP or Eightfold.

Skills:


  • Excellent, clientfocused verbal and written communication skills.
  • Selfmotivated with the ability to work both independently and in a teambased environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Strong digital literacy (

Microsoft Office:
including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
