We are looking for Security Guard (Floaters) to support our business growth in Toronto. This a part-time permanent position.

Available Shifts:

Wednesday and Thursday (11pm to 8am)

Monday to Friday (3pm to 11pm)

How you will contribute:

Effective communication and conflict resolution.
Ensuring property rules and regulations are followed and maintained.
Provide support to Property Management and all OTT staff and visitors as required.
Professional attitude towards any required training, handling emergencies and effective communications.
Protect the safety of persons and property on OTT property and prevent fire, theft, vandalism, criminal damage, and trespass.
Enforce parking and smoke-free property policies.
Monitor security consoles (access control, and CCTV video monitors), Fire Panel, and Alarms. and respond to alarms.
Verify visitor and employee identification.
Lock and unlock doors as scheduled or required.
Report any unusual incidents or hazardous conditions and maintain a log of security incidents.
Document, secure, and manage lost and found property and property safekeeping.
Provide safety escort services to emergency contractors on OTT property when required.

Advise OTT staff immediately of any notifiable incidents and assist with the management of any aggressive visitors (physically and verbally).

Attend every event or incident that may jeopardize the security of the Facility and provide a high level of customer service.

Assist with the prevention management of illicit substances and or weapons; secure the location of any found items, while awaiting Toronto Police Service as instructed.

Document all events in a notebook or electronic incident report.
Other duties as required/requested by the company and management.

What you bring to the table:
Must hold a valid Ontario Security License and First Aid Certificate
Minimum one year experience as a security guard, concierge and customer service experience is preferred.
Must be able and willing to work shifts, be available for on-call/standby and emergency callouts as they arise.
Proficient in English (both oral and written)
Ability to work effectively and handle multiple situations simultaneously while providing quality service.
Must be willing to complete a Background Security Check.

Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods of time between 3-4 hours at a time.

Must strictly adhere to Health and Safety policies.
