Who are we?
Chrono Aviation was founded in Quebec City in 2012. In its early days, the airline operated a Pilatus PC-12 and employed two pilots. Chrono quickly attracted a clientele looking for a comfortable, efficient and safe flying experience.

After a decade of operations, Chrono Aviation has grown its fleet to 15 aircraft and employs over 280 people.

Chrono is the only airline in Quebec that offers aircraft that can accommodate from 9 to 120 passengers exclusively for charter.

With bases in Montreal and Quebec City, Chrono Aviation continues to expand and strengthen its leadership position in the air charter industry in Quebec and Canada.


Role and context


The Flight Dispatcher is responsible for activities related to the preparation and execution of flights of the company's aircraft, including operational control, in collaboration with the aircraft commanders.

Before each departure, you will have to analyse the weather information, select the most appropriate route (considering the weather, the distance to be covered, the time required and the air traffic), and prepare the flight plan.

During each flight, you will monitor the flight plan, advise the captain of any changes in the weather, and indicate any changes to the flight plan.


Key responsibilities

  • Provide the necessary information to pilots who wish to take off or land at the airport, such as collecting and transmitting local weather information
  • Monitor the navigation instruments and perform various radio communications with the pilots so that they have all the information necessary to take off or land safely
  • Analyze atmospheric conditions and assess the allowable cargo and refueling capacity of aircraft, and other relevant factors to determine favorable routes
  • Inform the crew of the expected weather conditions, the status of navigation facilities and airports along the planned route
  • Sign the takeoff clearance with the captain
  • Monitor the movement of aircraft in flight and communicate with them as required
  • Delaying or cancelling flights if conditions are unsatisfactory
  • Preparing and maintaining flight plans, flight followups, selecting the most appropriate route and writing other reports

Specific job requirements

  • DEP in flight dispatching
  • Bilingual (French (spoken/written) and English (spoken)
  • Knowledge of the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs)
