FLINT is growing and is looking for Construction Managers instrumental in securing bids on construction projects already won and upcoming.

In this role, you will contribute to developing competitive proposals and ensure that FLINT's offerings align with client needs and expectations.

What would you be doing?

  • Work with the Superintendents to expedite and coordinate site resources needed to effectively execute the work, including subcontractors, materials, construction equipment and labour.
  • Proactively involved in setting client expectations from the executive level to the front lines.
  • Professional and timely communication with partners, vendors & suppliers that inspires everyone on the project to want to exceed your expectations.
  • Responsible for workforce planning, including developing all work scopes, shift schedules, and fieldwork packages to execute and control all work to a safe and efficient completion.
  • Will provide leadership to FLINT Superintendent, General Foreperson, Foreperson, and direct field labour.
  • Ensure all field activities in the assigned territory meet or exceed safety, quality, schedule, and cost by efficiently using all resources, including manpower, materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Support incident investigation.
  • Ensure that daily and weekly shortrange planning is executed correctly, right down to the foreman.
  • Inspire a culture that leads by example, where your actions and words align with Flint's core values.
  • Work with Project Manager on schedule, estimate and progress updates.

Does this sound like you?

  • Past construction project experience, managing multiple projects up from 215 million while using over craft personnel and numerous contractors.
  • Journeyperson Trade certification in a mechanical field or related postsecondary degree would be an asset.
  • Utilize software systems for estimating, scheduling, and project management.
  • Positive attitude, resilience, and the ability to adapt to changing project demands.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Valid safety tickets.
  • Selfdriven with an excellent work ethic.
