The Role


Reporting to the Associate Director, HR Technology & Analytics, this role will be responsible for the overall analytics and reporting of various workforce, talent and rewards metrics.


The HR Business Analyst will leverage information, market research and HR systems, to generate meaningful insights to assist the business in making accurate and informed decisions, along with process improvements.


This role will also work closely with the HR team and various stakeholders to support the build, deployment and enhancement of various HR technologies.


HR Technology & Analytics


In partnership with the Associate Director, HR Technology & Analytics, this role will support the creation of HR reports, researching market best practices, participating in industry and human capital surveys, leveraging data from various sources to provide meaningful insights, and working with the team to support initiatives relating to HR technologies.


Reporting & Analytics

  • Benchmarking to market best practices and observations.
  • Leverage HR systems to produce meaningful data insights and to support management decision making.
  • Design and develops queries for reporting and special projects
  • Utilize data mining techniques and queries to gather business intelligence. Leverage a variety of tools to deliver management metrics that will enable business strategy and support desired organizational performance.
  • Develop and implement a framework for reporting business productivity metrics in order to assess ongoing organizational efficiency.
  • Develop line of business specific or overall company dashboards on workforce metrics, which provide automation, efficiency, and insights to internal stakeholders.

Research and participate in benchmarking surveys.

  • Complete various industry and human capital surveys, keeping up to date on various HR best practices and labour statistics, and offering critical insights to workforce trends.
  • Research and analyze external benchmark data including the gathering and interpretation of trends for internal usage.
  • Offer critical insight to emerging workforce trends through ongoing review and interpretation of labour statistics and competitive markets.

Support HR Delivery

  • Accountable for data integrity, data maintenance data sharing, data governance and data security protocols and system functionality is maintained or enhanced on all systems, while partnering with internal stakeholders and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve any issues.
  • Data Access and

Security Management:

Manages access to Human Resources data by establishing access criteria and security policies and procedures, authorizing access in accordance with criteria and maintaining records of access authorizations and non-disclosure agreements.


  • Coordinate with Payroll and HRBP, the corrections required in the system as a result of error reports and provide assistance to end users in troubleshooting and/or resolving system problems
  • Liaise with internal business units to obtain required data.
  • Assist in the headcount budgeting process as required.

Technology

  • Partner with the Associate Director, HR Technology & Analytics on HR technology initiatives, including enhancement and administration of current platforms (e.g., Cornerstone on Demand, UKG, Achievers etc.), as well as sourcing and implementation of new technologies and platforms.
  • Work with Associate Director, HR Technology & Analytics and various stakeholders (e.g. HR and IT) on the impact of new releases prior to implementation.
  • Accountable for data integrity, data maintenance data sharing, data governance and data security protocols and system functionality is maintained or enhanced on all systems, while partnering with internal stakeholders and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve any issues.
  • Lead and/or assist with automation of HR technologies and process improvement initiatives.
  • Be the main 'super user' for the HR system, and the point of contact for the system provider. Work to ensure the system remains fit for purpose, developing functionality, supporting new module rollout and opportunities for system enhancement, and work closely with line managers and other key HR system users to develop their knowledge and use of the system.
