Full-time Fixed Term (37.5 hours/week) 1 Year Contract

Lumenus Community Services is seeking a Data Analyst who will work closely with the Organizational Excellence Department's Manager, Director and Senior Director to provide support to Lumenus in employing evidence-based decision making and data-based strategic management.

The Data Analyst will report to the Manager, Decision Support, Organizational Excellence Department.

The individual will support departmental activities including upkeep of data quality, conducting data analysis and reporting, databases maintenance, and performing various program support activities.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Data, Databases, Reporting

  • Assists with support and operation of Electronic Health Records as needed.
  • Supports complete and accurate data entry by supporting the development and implementation of systems and protocols and by training staff to use established procedures.
  • Ensures high quality data is available for extraction as needed by supporting the implementation and maintenance of systems to identify, track, correct and prevent errors.
  • Supports and maintains data reporting systems to provide appropriate information that help in program planning and evaluation.
  • Assists with agency preparation for data migration to a new client information database.
  • Performs data modeling and data visualizing techniques.
  • Transforms data into information that Lumenus management can use to make informed decisions.
  • Works with staff to interpret data and address data quality issues.
  • Provides reports on agency services, demographics and outcomes and prepares presentations for different levels of stakeholders.
  • Supports implementation of system changes and enhancements, supports user needs, including training, and compliance with systemwide processes and data standards.

Quality


Supports the collection and presentation of assessment and outcome data to staff and assists them in understanding and using the data for program improvement.

Coordinates quality improvement-related data collection, analysis, and reporting.

Supports teams in quality improvement activities that include data collection and evaluation protocols.

Assists with agency preparation for the Accreditation.

Complies with agency policies and procedures, paying particular attention to ensuring that client and staff confidentiality is strictly enforced.

Adheres to the organizational health and safety policies and practices along with the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act.

This includes but is not limited to ensuring safe workplace practices, protecting the health and safety of themselves and others and maintaining cleanliness in the workplace.


QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Education focused on Business Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent technical experience, or a combination of education and 23 years related experience
  • Experience with a variety of clientrelated databases and understanding of how to implement processes to ensure data integrity
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis
  • Experience with providing data analysis and dashboards for use in business planning

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:


  • Advanced level skills in Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Excel
  • Working knowledge of BI reporting tools, specifically advanced knowledge of Power BI
  • Power BI DAX Coding and Power Query would be an asset
  • Experience with Data Modelling, Data Mining, Data Pipeline, Data Transformation would be an asset
  • Working knowledge of User Acceptance Testing for the assessment of a software would be an asset
  • Exceptional organizational skills, time management skills and attention to details
  • Ability to organize, multitask and prioritize in a fastpaced environment with tight deadlines
  • Ability to collaborate well with others, and promote cooperation and teamwork
  • Ability to adapt to an evolving work environment and tolerate ambiguity
  • Demonstrated highlevel of critical thinking, analysis, training and problemsolving skills
  • Sound ethics and confidentiality
  • Ability to work in a manner that respects and values the diversity of communities and individuals

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:


  • Satisfactory clearance under the Police Reference Check program.
