    Role overview We are looking for an Sr Android Mobile developer who will be responsible for developing and maintaining our mobile applications. You will work closely with other developers, designers, and product managers to deliver high-quality products that meet our customers' needs and expectations.

    What you'll do

    ·Design, build, and test Android applications using Kotlin, Java, and Android SDK

    ·Implement user interfaces following material design guidelines and best practices.

    ·Integrate with RESTful APIs and third-party libraries.

    ·Debug, optimize, and improve app performance and stability.

    ·Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

    ·Follow agile methodologies and participate in code reviews, stand-ups, and sprints.

    ·Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in Android development.


    What you bring to the role

    ·Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field

    ·5+ years of professional experience in Android development

    ·Proficient in Kotlin and Java programming languages

    ·Strong knowledge of Android SDK, Android Studio, and Gradle

    ·Familiarity with Android Jetpack components, such as Live Data, View Model, Room, Navigation, etc.

    ·Experience with Firebase services, such as Authentication, Cloud Fire store, Analytics, Crashlytics, etc.

    ·Experience with popular Android libraries, such as Retrofit, Dagger, Coroutines, Glide, etc.

    ·Understanding of Android architecture patterns, such as MVVM, MVP, MVI, etc.

    ·Ability to write unit tests and UI tests using JUnit, Mockito, Espresso, etc.

    ·Knowledge of version control tools, such as Git and GitHub

    ·Excellent communication and collaboration skills

    ·Passion for learning new skills and technologies.

    Working arrangements

Based on this role's business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring two days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Toronto / Mississauga, ON.
