Associate Manager Intelligence Operations

**Description: - Permanent Full Time- The Associate Manager, Intelligence Operations will lead a team of Analysts focused on the detection and understanding of Health & Dental claims fraud risk, as well as the provision of analytical products to support risk assessment and fraud investigations.- With a focus on continuous improvement, this position oversees daily operations of the Intelligence Operations team, prioritizing analytical needs and ensuring the overall objectives of the Health and Dental Fraud and Abuse Program are delivered. The Associate Manager will be involved in the development of our evolving fraud strategy, which includes the tools, technology and counter-fraud techniques used by the Fraud Management Team.- This role reports to the Manager, Intelligence Operations. This is a hybrid role, located in the Winnipeg head office.
What you will do

  • Oversee a team of Analysts responsible for providing intelligence, analytical and data products in support of risk detection, investigations, and risk assessments
  • Use a riskbased approach to prioritizing work against a shifting risk landscape
  • Be responsible for training plans, development, mentoring/coaching of staff; hiring and performance management processes
  • Foster a continuous improvement mindset within the team and identify opportunities
  • Develop strong relationships with partners and work closely with key stakeholders of the Intelligence Operations team's analytical products
  • Stay current on emerging industry, fraud, risk, and technology trends
  • Support the Manager, Intelligence Operations on the delivery of the strategic objectives of the Fraud Management program
  • Support the Manager, Intelligence Operations in the assessment and management of the tools and technology employed by the Fraud Management team and their analytical effectiveness
  • Participate in the identification, development, and implementation of data and intelligence tactics and strategies to address newly emerging risks in the changing fraud landscape

What you will bring

  • Postsecondary degree in a related field or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • 5+ years working with data and analysis with a proven ability to draw insights
  • 3+ years in a leadership capacity
  • Understanding of data extraction and manipulation processes
  • Demonstrated ability to manage shifting priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and work with multiple complex data systems and tools
  • Adaptability and agility; ability to champion change
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and decisionmaking skills
  • Microsoft Office Skills (Advanced Excel
  • Pivot Tables, functions, etc.; Word, PowerPoint)
  • Superior written and verbal communication
  • Highly organized and able to multitask in a fastpaced environment
  • An understanding of Health and Dental insurance/data is an asset
  • Experience in Fraud/Risk Management is an asset
  • Reliability Status security clearance this is a personnel security status that is required before an employee can gain access to Protected B information, assets or work sites as outlined by the Government of Canada website
  • The base salary for this position is between
    $61,900:
  • $103,200** annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
