  • Your role as a fulltime instructor at Saskatchewan Polytechnic will be supported through instructional materials, ongoing employer provided training, and our requisite LIFT (Learners, Instruction & Fundamentals of Teaching).   • To instruct business courses in the Business Management Post Graduate Certificate program and/or related programs as required.
  • Provide instruction to students enrolled in Business or related programs.
  • Design and implement a student-centered classroom using an outcome-based approach.
  • Be flexible and responsive to learner needs through the use of appropriate instructional methodologies.
  • Manage the classroom to ensure an optimum learning environment.
  • Plan and deliver content and learning activities that reflect the values, beliefs, needs, and contributions of a culturally diverse community.
  • Provide appropriate evaluation, assessment, and feedback to students.
  • Respond to curriculum/course demands and make necessary adjustments according to learner needs such as adult learning principles.
  • Develop new curriculum as needed.
  • Be reflective of and responsive to accommodation of special learning needs, including equity groups and diverse learners.
  • Where required, develop working relationships with appropriate external partners and employers, supporting students in working experience.
  • Pursue professional development opportunities to keep current with employer and educational requirements.
  • Work co-operatively in an interdependent team environment.
  • Follow policies and procedures adopted by Saskatchewan Polytechnic.
  • Attend program and school meetings.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities (QSA)

  • 1. Fouryear Bachelor degree in Commerce or Administration; OR equivalent 4 year Business degree; OR related 4 year degree with major or related experience in specialty area to be taught; OR Business diploma with Education degree with related experience in specialty area to be taught.
  • Recent/relevant work experience (2 years in the last 5) in the business environment in the specialty area to be taught.
  • Effective communication skills (written and oral).
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as a team member and foster teamwork.
  • Effective instructional ability.
