Canadian Helicopters currently has a career opportunity for a Training Pilot based in Edmonton.

Job Description:


The Training Pilot reports directly to the Regional Chief Pilot at Canadian Helicopters Limited (CHL) and will be responsible for providing instruction, evaluation and examination of rated pilots in technical knowledge, flying techniques and non-technical skills.


Basic Responsibilities:


  • Conducting CHL initial and recurrent, ground and flight training programs as well as endorsement training in accordance with FOM Part IV.
  • Ensure that pilots under training have both the knowledge and ability to carry out the duties assigned or report the reason for failure to meet such standards to the Chief Pilot.
  • Certify the individual training records as to the competency of pilots under training upon the completion of training.
  • Conduct VFR and IFR flight checks IAW the Transport Canada applicable PPC schedules.
  • Will perform duties of CHL Pool Pilot when not performing recurrent training sessions.

Qualifications:


  • Valid ATPL-H or Commercial Pilot License
  • Helicopter from Transport Canada.
  • Minimum of 3,000 hours rotary wing flight time.

Endorsements on the AS350 required
:


  • Good communication skills in both verbal and written format in English.
  • Long line/ vertical reference experience.
  • B212, B412, or AS355 will be considered an asset.
  • Group IV instrument and night rating will be considered an asset.
  • ACP designation will be considered an asset.
  • Must live or be willing to relocate in Edmonton.
  • Good people skills / customer focus;
  • Positive attitude and ability to work within a team environment;
  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills;
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Smart board etc.).
