Course Description:
This course will introduce the students to multivariable calculus and linear algebra


Topics will include:

linear programming (geometric); matrix algebra; multi-variable functions; contour maps; partial and total differentiation; optimization of multi-variable functions; optimization of constrained multi-variable functions; Lagrange multipliers.

Qualifications:
Previous teaching experience as the instructor of a Mathematics course at the university level (required). Previous teaching experience as the instructor for MATA33H3 or equivalent (strongly desirable).


Duties:

All normal duties related to the design and teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; development, administration and marking of assignments, tests and exams; calculation and submission of grades; submission of a deferred exam; holding regular office hours; supervising TAs assigned to course.


Estimated TA Support (Hours): 55 hours per tutorial.


Sessional dates of appointment:
May - August 31, 2023


Salary:

Sessional Lecturer I $9,182.42; Sessional Lecturer I Long Term $9,641.55; Sessional Lecturer II $9,826.96; Sessional Lecturer II Long Term $10,025.84; Sessional Lecturer III $10,060.9- Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail.
