Program Overview:
PICS Intercultural Youth Service Corps (IYSCorps) and Intercultural Youth

Microgrant Service Corps (IYMSCorps) offer exciting and empowering opportunities for youth

aged Our programs provide participants with valuable skills, hands-on experience, and a

chance to make a positive impact on their communities. We are actively recruiting for our

upcoming November and December cohorts.

What's in it:

IYSCorps Program (17-week Program):

Attend 5week essential skills training VIRTUAL workshops (4:306:30pm, 3 days a

week)

Gain essential life skills, including resume writing, financial literacy, leadership, public

speaking, stress management, project managament, and more

Participate in youthled, governmentfunded community projects
Choose personalized volunteer placements or communitydriven projects
Receive a microgrant of $1,000 to design a project
Receive a minimum of 120 volunteer hours

IYMSCorps Program:

Participate in a program that offers larger microgrants of up to $3,000 for community

- driven projects

No requirement to complete the 5week skills training
Receive 120 volunteer hours
Access additional program benefits

Previous Participant Project Examples:

Put together care kits for children at the hospitals
Create a magazine to raise awareness on climate change
Organize an ethnic cooking class to promote cultural inclusivity
Organize a workshop on mental health
Create a magazine for elementary school children to teach them the basics of coding

and raise their interest in the tech industry
