Job Summary

Key Accountabilities:


  • Analyze, evaluate, and solve technical and nontechnical (support process) problems and changes to the systems and its components, i.e., the workstation level as well as multiuser environments.
  • Design, implement and test changes being made to various systems by following the best practices within Information Management such as Change Management, Quality Management Framework, Project Management Framework, General System Development Lifecycle process and other guidelines.
  • Provide coordination in the development and implementation of fixes, enhancements, special requirements and maintenance of hardware and software for all systems.
  • Provide documentation for all systems (support processes, design specifications, business cases, test cases, etc.).

EDUCATION:


Degree from a recognized university or community college with specialization in computers, electrical engineering, systems engineering, computer science or information systems or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


EXPERIENCE:


  • Minimum 35 years' experience in Software Engineering, Information Technology, Databases or Application Development.
  • Experience working in a Microsoft environment e.g., Windows Server, MS Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, IIS Web Server, or MS SQL Server.
  • Experience with Linux systems (RHEL/RHEL compatible preferred).
  • Experience using scripting languages, e.g., PowerShell, Bash or Python, high level languages, C /C++, Java.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, containers, Agile Development and/or SAFe and Scrum methodologies a plus.

KNOWLEDGE:


  • Knowledge of DevOps/DevSecOps culture and best practices into the CI/CD delivery pipeline.
  • Knowledge of SDLC processes.
  • Knowledge of cloudbased and differentiation with legacy systems, and knowledge of infrastructure automation.
  • Knowledge of "Shift Left" methodology and its incorporation into the CD pipeline as well as selection of supporting toolset.
  • Knowledge of release management tools (Microsoft SCCM, AWS Code Pipeline etc.).
- knowledge of Artifact Management tools (JFrog Artifactory, Nexus, Harbour etc).


ABILITY:


  • Ability to analyze, evaluate and correct system deficiencies and/or recommending new actions/process improvements.
  • Ability to set priorities, to adapt to changing priorities, to work under mínimal supervision, to work in a team, and to handle multiple concurrent projects.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Ability to resolve complex and varied problems.
