You will be responsible for winter and seasonal maintenance of Alberta highways, using various heavy equipment.Essential Responsibilities
- Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders, and other equipment as required
- Maintain Alberta provincial highways on a seasonal basis, including assisting with Labourer duties (crack sealing, pothole repair, bridge and signage cleaning, hazard remediation, etc.)
- Work outside in all weather conditions
Qualifications:
- Successfully complete preemployment drug and alcohol testing
- Be able to perform physically demanding tasks
- Possess a valid Class 1 or 3 driver's license with air endorsement
- Provide a 3year driver's abstract
- Previous experience operating a snowplow truck and/or wheel loader is a strong asset
- Applicants that reside in Glenevis, Mayerthorpe, Stony Plain, Drayton Valley, Entwistle, Leduc, Warburg, Fort Saskatchewan, Morinville, Alberta may be given preference due to the location of the work
- As LHL is obligated to respond to various weather patterns, some shift work, oncall, and night shift will be required
