RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Under the general direction of the Assistant Director, Enterprise Shared Services, the IT Policy Business Analyst will:

Identify and analyze existing documentation relating to U of T institutional IT policies.
Document practices related to M365 services and licences deployed at U of T.
Identify inconsistencies between policy and practice and propose updates to policy to reconcile the two.
Identify areas of improvement in existing policies including identifying services with no formal policy in place.
In consultation with key stakeholders, draft policy updates and new policy proposals.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

Education:

Currently enrolled in an Information Technology or Government Administration degree or college program

Experience:

Demonstrated ability to create and edit policy guidelines.
Hands on experience supporting Office 365 is an asset
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft products including Microsoft Office, Teams, and SharePoint.

Skills:

Demonstrated ability to research, analyze and summarize complex information.
Ability to prepare and present detailed reports.
Interest in institutional policy.
Interest in IT/technology.
Strong communications skills (especially written).
Knowledge of project management.

Other:

Ability to meet strict deadlines and work effectively when there are multiple demands while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to details.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Show initiative and the ability to exercise good judgment and maintain discretion.
