The Drafting Department supports both the Production and Sales Departments to create customized Low and Medium Voltage electrical and mechanical drawings to customer required specifications.

This opportunity can be a great way for you to start your career in drafting.

As a member of our team, you will:

• Produce electrical drawings following drafting standards including control and power circuits within specified timelines using Autodesk AutoCAD
• Produce mechanical drawings following drafting standards within specified timelines using Autodesk Inventor
• Perform electrical and mechanical calculations
• Create parts lists/bills of material for projects
• Create drawing acknowledgment to be sent with customer approval/information drawings or mechanical drawings for external manufacturers
• Utilize job/service database to create efficiencies within the drawing production process

What you will bring to the position:

• Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics Technology Certificate from Community College or equivalent experience
• Previous experience with Low and Medium Voltage electrical design considered an asset
• Knowledge of Low and Medium Voltage distribution equipment such as transformers and switchgear considered an asset
• Strong computer skills working with Excel would be beneficial
• Ability to understand complex electrical concepts considered an asset
• CNC and milling knowledge would also be considered an asset but not essential
