Our client located in uptown Waterloo is looking for a Senior Operations Manager to join their management team.

The restaurant offers an upscale contemporary dining experience coupled with a menu that reflects a dedication to using thoughtfully chosen ingredients designed by the Executive Chef.

From breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner to late night to weekends, the menu is complemented by expertly crafted cocktails, a renowned wine list, and a great selection of local craft beers.

You have exceptional knowledge of wine and are passionate when it comes to teaching your team about leading the guest experience.


What You'll Do
The role will be involved in day-to-day restaurant operations management and administration.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist the General Manager in daytoday operations to ensure culinary quality and service excellence
  • Inspire all staff to provide exceptional service, meeting guests needs by customizing their dining experience and making food and beverage suggestions based on individual preferences
  • Implement ongoing training programs that create excitement and engagement amongst the FOH team
  • Sales forecasting and financial analysis of operations, including weekly reviews of sales and labour, cost of goods and monthly reviews of P&L statements
  • Contribute to reducing costs and improving financial performance while also taking into account any impact on guest experience and staff retention
  • Promote the brand through social media platforms, responding to online reviews, active community presence and encouraging guest engagement
  • Maintain a positive culture of diversity and inclusivity through a high level of engagement
  • Assist in monitoring weekly food and beverage inventories
  • Maintain positive relations with Delta Hotel, restaurant suppliers, contractors and vendors
  • Maintain Health & Safety requirements, perform or schedule routine repair and maintenance, identify areas for improvements and implement daily systems and procedures as required

Education and Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as an operations manager within a high volume casual upscale restaurant environment
  • Proficient computer skills including: POS, inventory software, excel and word
  • Hotel Food and Beverage experience considered an asset
  • Excellent written, verbal and digital communication skills
  • Experience with Open Table, Shiftnotes, Triple Seat is an asset
  • Smart Serve, WHMIS, Health & Safety, & Food Safe Certified
  • Must be able to carry and lift items weighing 40lbs, must be able to stoop and bend
  • Must be able to stand and move for extended periods of time to continuously perform essential job functions
  • Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays based on business needs

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
