About the role


The Manager, Campus Recruitment & Partnerships will join the Talent Acquisition team to drive attraction of top talent that meets the needs of current and future demands of the organization with a focus on building talent pipelines.


On a practical level, you would:

  • Lead the design, development, and execution of the Campus Recruitment strategy in alignment with the talent acquisition strategy and the WSIB People Strategy.
  • As the key liaison between WSIB and postsecondary institutions, develop and sustain partnerships to support student develop and to build a talent pipeline for the WSIB.
  • Partner with educational institutions and the WSIB Organizational Development and Learning team to identify partnership opportunities to support talent pipeline development and ongoing learning for WSIB employees.
  • Develop and maintain program documentation outlining program goals, outcomes, and ongoing progress, creating, and managing action plans, overseeing program evaluation and assessment, and anticipating future programming needs and requirements.

Major Responsibilities:

Design and implement WSIB's Campus Recruitment strategy and programs.

  • Develop, implement, and manage a strategy to maximize student recruitment;
  • Develop and maintain relationships with schools and program leads to support cooperative learning programs;
  • Support the Talent Acquisition team in other recruitment activities contributing to the successful operation of student recruitment and development
Function as champion of the "Student Lifecycle"

  • Promote the WSIB programs and services as well as available awards, scholarships and bursaries;
  • In collaboration with Communications, develop and implement advertising campaigns to promote attraction of students, including establishing distribution networks for services, initiate market research studies and analyze findings, developing campaigns to meet the needs of business, and direct and evaluate the marketing strategies;
  • Prepare and/or deliver educational, publicity and information programs, materials, and sessions;
  • Organize, coordinate, and execute key WSIB events such as information sessions, Virtual Program, Open House, and other special publicity events and promotions;
  • Conducts postevent review and analysis of participants' demographics and to present such information on an annual basis.
Monitor and evaluate relevant data on the student programs, which includes conducting market research/analysis and marketing to improve attraction/interest.

  • Set, monitor, and evaluate student recruitment programs (e.g., summer students, coop placements, internships) to achieve objectives established with the business;
  • Create student program surveys and review results each semester and provide feedback and learnings;
  • Recommend appropriate schools/areas to visit based on data analysis and market trends;
  • Maintains robust list of postsecondary and secondary institution contacts and prospective applicants.
Student transition programming & co-curricular experience

  • Regularly collaborates with postsecondary institute departments (global engagement, mental health and wellbeing, student and learning services, EDI, etc.) ensuring an intentional, coordinated effort regarding student transition strategy;
