Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Performing general shop housekeeping and upkeep
- keeping shop organized, swept, clean and hazard free.
- Washing equipment that comes back from field.
- Performing general maintenance of shop tools, equipment
- Transferring supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or by use of a hand truck.
- Performing general service work that may require operating automated machinery and various power/hand tools.
- Inspecting all assembly parts and reporting defective material or questionable component conditions to management.
- Observing all safety procedures, regulations, rules, and instruction in performance of job duties.
- Communicating positively with supervisors, colleagues
- Providing assistance to the shop manager with overall shop operations.
- Assisting with special projects and covering for multiple positions when staffing levels are low/production or operating demands are accelerated.
- Following Company policies and procedures at all times.
- Performing other duties as required.
- General housekeeping of the facility
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Grade 12 OR GED
- Valid driver's license class
- Ability to stand, climb, bend, and lift up to 50lbs for extended periods of time.
- Reliable strict adherence to Company attendance standards.
- Basic computer skills, math skills, and be good with numbers.
- Must have own basic hand tools
- General knowledge of tools with mechanical aptitude
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
- Selfmotivated and demonstrate the ability to effectively and efficiently perform the job productively under tight deadlines.
- Must have positive communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must successfully complete a preemployment screening including a drug & alcohol test, fit for duty test, proof of a valid driver's license and delivery of a satisfactory and current Driver's Abstract.
