    Course number and title: Sessional Lecturer EAS396H1F - Special Topics in East Asian Studies

    Course Description: A study of Chinese, Japanese or Korean culture, history and/or literature. Content depends on the instructor. When offered, the course will have a subtitle that describes its content.

    Class schedule: Fridays 11 am - 1 pm

    Salary:

    Sessional Lecturer I - $9, includes 4% vacation pay);

    Sessional Lecturer I - Long Term - $9, includes 6% vacation pay) ;

    Sessional Lecturer II - $10,121.77(includes 6% vacation pay) ;

    Sessional Lecturer II - Long Term - $10, includes 4% vacation pay) ;

    Sessional Lecturer III - $10, includes 4% vacation pay);

    Sessional Lecturer III - Long Term - $10, includes 4% vacation pay)

    Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail.

    Minimum qualifications: Completed PhD in area related to the course required with significant graduate work and ongoing academic development in the field.

    Preferred qualifications: University-level teaching experience is preferred with evidence of superior teaching evaluations.

    Description of duties: Preparing lesson plans and lectures; delivering lectures; developing and administering grading, course assignments, tests, and exams; and providing scheduled office hours for academic counselling of students.
