Strand is seeking an individual who is passionate about real estate and has a strong desire to be a senior leader in a growing organization that is creating a legacy of successful projects in urban environments across North America.

Founded in Vancouver in 1976, Strand has been actively involved in a number of real estate sectors, including: the development and acquisition of multi-family apartments and condominium projects, single family land and housing developments, the development of multi-unit warehouse projects, the acquisition of office building properties, and the provision of mortgage financing to developers for residential and commercial developments throughout North America.

While Strand has maintained a relatively low profile, consistent with the philosophy of its major shareholders and financial partners, Strand has acquired, developed, and financed over 40,000 homes across North America while consistently maintaining its established reputation for successfully and conscientiously developing real estate.

Strand is active throughout several regions in North America, with its head office, located in Vancouver, and regional offices in the southeastern and western United States.

Strand's active projects are comprised of over 8 thousand residential units across North America.

In British Columbia, Strand is developing over 4 thousand homes (2,200 condominiums and 1,800 rental apartments), 1 million square feet of industrial floor area, along with over 375,000 square feet of commercial and retail space.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong strategic senior leadership, decision making capabilities and people management skills to effectively motivate, mentor, recruit and retain top talent, and advocate change through building support and commitment at all levels of the organization
  • Real estate professional with over 10 years of real estate industry experience in marketing and sales with a demonstrated track record of success
  • Indepth knowledge of local markets and sales, marketing and leasing processes for a variety of product types and asset classes
  • A leader and team player with strong verbal and written communication skills combined with a strategic thinking capability
  • Exceptional organizational, multitasking and problemsolving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to proactively manage multiple projects, strategies, and objectives, while respecting timelines and budgets, in a fastpaced environment
  • Ability to lead and manage all visioning, branding, marketing, sales, and leasing at a project and corporate level
  • Ability to lead and oversee the creation, launch and management of a best in class sales/leasing/marketing campaign
  • Ability to create and manage pricing towers
  • Experience in procurement of marketing assets, layout feedback and production of marketing collateral
  • Strong relationships with sales and marketing agencies, partners and service providers
  • A solid understanding of budgeting, cash flows and financial analysis for the sales and marketing of real estate projects
  • Ability to read and understand architectural, interior design, electrical and mechanical drawings, while providing critical input on the creation and refinement of floor plans and building layouts
  • Post-Secondary education and/or background in marketing and/or creative is an asset
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite) and grasp on leading edge technologies and techniques: Database management (Ex. Lasso), Google Analytics, Survey Monkey, Word Press, Hootsuite, Social Media Platforms
  • Experience researching and collecting data for the creation and completion of reports and presentations
  • Desktop publishing skills would be an asset
  • Selfmotivated by a strong work ethic and attention to detail with an ability to thrive in a culture of excellence

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


The Vice President of Sales and Marketing will report to the President and will be responsible for the marketing, sales, leasing and customer care for all of Strand's development projects and corporate initiatives.
