About the opportunity

Duties:

The primary responsibilities of this position are coordination and delivery of 1st-year (introductory) chemistry courses, including course instruction, all aspects of grading and evaluation, curriculum development, class administration and organization.

Other responsibilities include advising of students, academic administration, professional development and outreach and community service.
This position reports to the Dean of Science through the Chair of the Department of Chemistry.

This position requires a minimum of MSc degree in Chemistry, with a PhD preferred, and a minimum of 2 years teaching experience at the university level.

Experience with online/technological tools including MS Office Applications (Teams, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Forms), Brightspace LMS, LON-CAPA Online Homework Platform and Remark OMR Office is required.

The DFA Collective Agreement, , defines total compensation for the position, including salary and benefits.
