POSITION OVERVIEW
Our Culinary Brigade is responsible for the preparation, assembly and cooking of food items for a specific kitchen station. The culinary team assists with inventory and ordering for a particular station and cleaning of the entire kitchen. The Culinary team promotes the restaurants and acts as a positive role model and representative of Blau & Associates. Our culinary brigade continually strives for 100% guest satisfaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works in collaboration with other Team Members and Departments to ensure the kitchen and outlets operate in accordance with established operational procedures
- Proper setup, maintenance and adherence to scheduled duties, ensuring miseenplace and par stock is maintained for all position related items, conducts regular inventory and ordering of products as required
- Regularly inspects food and supplies ensuring that proper product rotation and safe food preparation and storage standards are maintained
- Ensures food preparation is completed for a specific kitchen station and assembles or cooks items as required
- Follows established sanitation standards, maintains a clean work station and assists with cleaning of the overall kitchen and service areas
- Maintains a composed and professional demeanor while providing exemplary service
- Is aware of menu items, menu and operational changes and communicates the information as appropriate
- Protects the organization, guests and coworkers by adhering to applicable food, liquor, safety, and workplace standards, operational requirements and statutory compliance regulations
- Ensures that all property, furnishings, equipment and supplies are used according to proper instructions and intended use
- Any other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef or their designated representative
QUALIFICATIONS
- Have experience as a Cook in a similar environment such as a hotel, restaurant, catering or other fast paced highvolume establishment
- A valid FOODSAFE certificate is considered an asset
- Has a good command of both spoken and written English. Knowledge of a 2nd language would be considered an asset
- Has a solid understanding of different cuisines and food preparation methods
- Has solid problem solving, decision making, customer service and communication skills
- Experience managing inventory and proper product use to eliminate waste and spillage
- Be able to stand for extended periods of time, reach, bend and stoop repeatedly
- Be able to frequently lift and carry up to Is able to frequently lift and carry up to 24 kg/50 lbs
- Has a flexible schedule
