About the opportunity
ABCRC is seeking to fill multiple full-time permanent _
Warehouse Worker_ roles.
The position will report to an Operations Supervisor and will be primarily responsible for the efficient movement of product through the warehouse for bailing or crushing.
This is a unionized role, and you must be amenable to joining the United Food and Commercial Workers Canada Union, Local No.
401 upon hire.The starting hourly rate is $20.74 and graduates to a maximum of $25.93 following 1561 working hours, with annual increases per the Collective Agreement.
In this role, you will be responsible to (but not limited):
Ø Adhere to ABCRC's Health & Safety and Workplace Policies and Procedures
Ø Ensure that your work area is kept clean and clear of debris
Ø Unload, palletize and receive product
Ø Unload 'Mega' bags onto conveyor to compact/crush empty beverage containers
Ø Re-bundle of the 'Mega' bags
Ø Key/scan information into the Warehouse Management System as required
Ø Count/Validate product received
Ø High school diploma or equivalent (Mathematical skills are required)
Ø Minimum of 1-3 years' experience working in a warehouse or industrial type setting
Ø Forklift driving an asset
Ø Ability to speak, read and write in English
Ø Ability to perform physically demanding tasks which include bending, lifting and carrying
Ø Ability to lift 50 pounds
Ø Respectful workplace attitude and excellent interpersonal skills
Ø Able to function effectively as a team player
