About the Role*Reporting to the Product Owner, Startups, the Investor Relations Manager serves as a key member of the Startup team and plays an active role in supporting interactions and building relationships with investors, venture capital (VC) funds, fund managers and and global startup accelerator programs.

The Investor Relations Manager will connect with Amii's existing investor & accelerator partners as well as seek out new partnerships in order to support Amii's Startup programming and the Startup Clients.

The role focuses on achieving excellence in three main accountabilities:

  • Build and grow Amii's partnership model for investor & accelerator partnerships.
  • Account management of investor & accelerator partners including building and maintaining relationships.
  • Building and iterating repeatable processes to enable Amii to scale up its ability to connect with investor & accelerator partners and connect them in with Amii's Startup Clients.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop a thorough understanding of our products and service offerings to better align with prospective and existing partners up
  • Develop a thorough understanding of investor & accelerator firms to fully grasp their needs and how Amii can build the best mutually beneficial partnerships with them
  • Be the first point of customer contact for potential Amii investor & accelerator partners.
  • Support the Development & Execution of research projects to discover new target markets for investor partners.
  • Conduct discovery calls with prospects, including learning about partner pain points, conducting presentations about Amii's services, and articulating Amii's ability to help patterns & Startups achieve their business objectives.
  • Report on active opportunities expected close dates and partnership obligations.
  • Maintain and grow the partnership opportunity pipeline.
  • Proactively build lasting relationships with partners to nurture success, reduce client churn, and support Startup clients.
  • Analyze partner data & needs assessments to build effective partnerships.
  • Partner with the technical operations teams to successfully onboard and deliver value to new and current partners.
  • Provide partner input to the Startup team to assist in identifying and prioritizing product improvements and new product offerings
  • Improve processes and best practices throughout the entire partnership journey
  • Ensure all partner information related to the partnership opportunities is properly tracked and recorded.
  • Provide feedback to marketing and Startup teams.
  • Be open to a limited amount of travel within North America

Qualifications
- +5 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Startup Investment
  • Venture Capital
  • Startup Accelerator management
  • Technology/service organization sales
  • Sponsorship/partnership management
  • University undergraduate degree preferred.
  • Some experience and ambition in inside sales with relatively short to mediumlength sales cycles
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets and receiving exceptional client feedback
  • Proficiency with common partner/client success and partner/client relationship management software.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
