Overview:

Clairvest is a highly reputable mid-market Private Equity firm with >$4Bn of assets and ~50 employees. We are looking for a dynamic and strategic Business Development Representative.

In this role at Clairvest, you will play a pivotal role supporting our investment team in generating introductory leads/conversations, supporting our industry 'domains' in preparation for conferences and tradeshows and creating opportunities to build long lasting relationships that will drive growth at Clairvest.

Given the continued success at Clairvest, we have decided to invest in a full-time professional to support and professionalize our business development function.

This individual would be working closely with the investment team and would report directly to the Director of Investor Relations and Marketing.

Industry Engagement:
_ Engage with industry teams to understand their needs, domain trends, conferences, and demonstrate the value of partnership. Support domain/industry teams in building target investment lists and monitoring industry and Company news flow.

  • Reporting: _Provide regular reports on business development activities, results, and forecasts to the leadership and Domain teams
  • Pipeline Management: _Work with the investment team to maintain accurate records of interactions, leads, and investment opportunities in our CRM (Salesforce). Monitor and manage the pipeline of prospects (CEOs/Founders/Owners) within each industry domain. Ensure consistent and prompt followups
from the investment team for all high-value prospects.

  • Sales Knowledge and Training: _Assist with developing sales training content specific to potential tools that enable effective pipeline management. Proactively identify and implement opportunities to increase the efficiency and throughput of Clairvest's sales process.
  • Marketing/Presentations:_ Support marketing and investment teams by building content, prepping for presentations for conferences and crafting early 'pitch' conversations.
  • Team Collaboration: _Collaborate with the investment and investor relations team to ensure a seamless experience and share market trends.
  • Strategic Partnerships: _Support the investment team in tracking strategic partnerships and alliances with industry players, investment professionals, and other entities to create mutually beneficial opportunities for Clairvest.

Industry Knowledge:

_understand our strategic position within the private equity market and specific industry verticals, stay up to date with the latest trends, market dynamics, and overall landscape.

Ensure an understanding of each team's needs and priorities within an industry.

  • 2+ years previous business development or sales experience
  • A bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with key stakeholders
  • Strong drive and confidence in the face of a challenge
  • Selfmotivated and targetdriven with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales quotas
  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic and fastpaced work environment
  • Knowledge of investment strategies and private equity principles a bonus
