Intern, Supply Chain:
Through the National Shipbuilding Strategy (NSS), the Government of Canada has embarked on one of the largest procurement projects since the Second World War.
The NSS is a nation-building effort to create a sustainable Canadian shipbuilding industry, secure long-term job opportunities and build the next generation of ships for the Canadian Coast Guard and Royal Canadian Navy.
Through its NSS-related work, Seaspan Shipyards is owning the redevelopment of our domestic shipbuilding industry on the West Coast and delivering on the promise of ships built in Canada, by Canadians.
Note:
Due to business needs, this position is required to be fully on-site based at 889 Harbourside Drive, North Vancouver.
What you'll do
- Prepares analytics, reports and various documentation specific
- Reviews available data and manipulates data to reach intended outcomes
- Collects and enters data into various internal systems
- Performs various duties as assigned
What you'll bring
- Enrollment in a university degree program, with a specialization in Finance, Human Resources, Engineering, Supply Chain, or similar.
- Experience working with data, through academic research, independent projects, or prior internships
- Ability to analyze data from various data sources
- Desire to work in a collaborative team environment
- Interpersonal skills including problemsolving
- Knowledge of marine operations and shipbuilding is an asset
- Good written and verbal communication skills
