Description

Concept Artists at Luma will create an array of artwork to help visualize and support creative briefs provided by either the client or VFX Supervisor.

You will develop and adapt ideas presented to you and be able to create high quality artwork that successfully communicates these ideas and supports the work of Directors, and Creative leads.

You will also be expected to create artwork in a variety of aesthetic styles and technical approaches that adhere to the specific design of a show.

You Can:

Create dynamic artwork that illustrates various stories and scripts
Develop all types of visual concept work for Film VFX projects.
Support the work of Directors, Creative Directors and other Creative leads in the production of visual documents.
Ensure work is done according to specifications outlined by the Director/Key Creatives of a show Implement any changes and incorporates feedback from Art Directors into artwork
Research and reference material that will be influential to clients and design team

You Have:

At least three to four years as an established Concept artist
A developed "eye" and strong aesthetic
Proven production experience on highend VFX feature films
A demonstrated understanding and creation of photo real work
Experience creating some or all of the following: environments, hard surface, and creature design, matte paintings, shot elements, storyboards (advantage)
Thorough knowledge of creative and artistic methods and techniques such as perspective, anatomy
Skill in 3D tools such as Mudbox, Zbrush and Maya or BlenderTechnical proficiency in photography with an emphasis on composition, depth, lighting and color
Experience meeting deadlines while retaining a high quality of work
Strong organization skills and are an organized, proactive, selfstarter
A team player attitude, a clear communication style and a keenness for collaboration
An approachability factor and are personable, with a strong motivational qualities
A willingness to learn new skills and techniques including proprietary software
An ability to remain calm under pressure and are committed to meet production deadlines
A positive, cando attitude
An ability to work closely with Art Department leadership and within a production environment
An ability to work under pressure while implementing changes based on input from multiple sources
