Scope and Responsibilities:


Specific Responsibilities:


This is a critical role in my client's continued success and growth, as they look to continue to expand their operations in British Columbia to perform field service work at customer sites.


The role is accountable for the following:

  • Installing new or modified equipment at customer facilities to ensure full functionality according to specifications;
  • Ensuring all site operations in the field are maintained appropriately and optimized according to performance standards in order to satisfy customers/clients;
  • Performing all mechanical, electronics and optical tuning and setup; Analyzing, evaluating and diagnosing equipment problems independently;
  • Conducting customertraining sessions on utilization and basic maintenance of system;
  • Servicing and maintaining installed equipment and preventive maintenance visits;
  • Managing and controlling tools, test equipment, technical documentation and other assigned equipment;
  • Preparing and submitting applicable field service reports;
  • Performing oncall, standby duty and travel as needed;
  • Submitting expense reports and costing analysis ontime and efficiently;
  • Assisting with sales visits where required;
  • Providing solutions and recommendations for continuous improvement; and,
  • Always providing friendly, timely, and courteous customer service.
Education

  • Technical College Diploma or Professional Studies Diploma in electrical or electricalmechanical engineering; and,
  • Minimum of technician level qualifications.
Experience

  • 5 years of electrical and mechanical experience, ideally in an industrial equipment support role;
  • Indepth understanding of electrical and fault finding;
  • Software proficiency a key asset;
  • Prior experience training clients on equipment use and maintenance in a userfriendly manner would be an asset;
  • Proven ability for technical problemsolving, troubleshooting, and followup skills;
  • Background experience in customer service oriented roles;
  • Sensitivity and ability to work with multicultural groups; and,
  • Ability to work independently.

  • Position requires extensive travel, which may include some travel across Canada;
    Ability to drive without restrictions; and,:
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background and medical check.

Salary:
$35.00-$45.00 per hour
