Start Rate:
$16.80

Pay Rate after Probationary Period:
$22.64

MAJOR DUTIES:

Primarily responsible for processing liquid candy from glucose & sucrose (or other ingredients), having correct moisture as described in procedure.
Ensure correct ratio of ingredients for making a batch or final piece from cooker.
Complete the food safety checklist prior to startup and fill up traceability forms and batch sheets forms accurately and legibly.
Monitoring and correcting issues with the Cooker and solvomat.
Maintaining communication with Candy makers to ensure sufficient liquid candy is produced to avoid any stoppages at batch rollers.
Work for improvement in process to ensure minimum wastage of glucose & sucrose.
Ensure cookers are kept clean and schedule washing is done at predetermined frequency as per procedure.
Record all edible/non edible waste.
Mixing color for striping and add other ingredients according to procedure.
Recording tank readings and ingredients consumption for traceability purpose.
At the end of the shift ensure process equipment is properly washed and sanitized and garbage is removed from area and work center is left in a tidy and safe condition.
Follow all plant safety rules and OHSA.
May work in extreme temperature conditions (hot & humid).
Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have a good working knowledge of both written and oral English.
Ability to work well with little supervision.
Knowledge of basic mathematical skills.
Ability to lift heavy materials requiring proper lifting practices as per Company guidelines.
Must be able to analyze and suggest improvements in process to improve efficiency and productivity.
Ability to follow precise instructions.
Normal courtesy in dealing with fellow employees.
Ability to handle multiple tasks.
