Law alumni are the Faculty's strongest ambassadors and supporters.
The Alumni Officer works closely with their development colleagues and collaboratively across the Faculty to execute and manage their suite of projects that are designed to engage alumni across segments and years, including Law's signature Reunion and on-line engagement offerings.
The Alumni Officer will settargets and goals, use databases and other tools as needed to help measure the success of their projects as well as support the teams' overall engagement reporting.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Advising alumni association and their working committees on the development of programs, events and activities
- Responding to enquiries within the defined scope of the role and redirecting as appropriate
- Conceptualizing, organizing and executing event activities
- Building and strengthening relationships with stakeholders and partners of strategic importance
- Generating reports
- Verifying the accuracy and completeness of information
- Monitoring accounts for a project and/or program
- Directing the work of volunteers in defined activities
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
- Minimum four years directly related experience.
- Experience working in alumni relations and/or advancement.
- Experience working with and supervising volunteers.
- Experience leading and participating in projects involving multiple stakeholders in a professional environment.
- Experience planning and executing events.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel,PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and database software
- Demonstrated relationship building skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and to work effectively with various levels of stakeholders
- Demonstrated organizational skills
