Job Description:
About the Role
The Human Resources Generalist (HRG) reports to the Human Resources Manager and provides day-to-day operational responsibilities in all HR areas at our manufacturing plant in Kitchener, ON.
The HRG will provide leadership and support for recommending, implementing and supporting employee relations practices necessary to establish and promote a high level of employee engagement.
The HRG will carry out responsibilities in the following functional areas:positive employee relations, full-cycle recruitment for hourly staff, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, worker's compensation claims management, workforce planning, talent development, change management, health and safety support, employment law and compliance, and HR analytics as well will back up payroll.- Provides guidance, direction and advice to supervision regarding employment related matters including interpretation of company policies, procedures, recruitment, onboarding, and legislative requirements.- Maintains open communications with employees and managers by providing answers related to HR.- Assists in conflict resolution by fact finding and providing guidance and direction.- Performance Management of Hourly Employees.- Employee Relations initiatives.- Compensation, Learning and Development.- Maintain HR records.- Support in the delivery of HR programs and processes.- Participate in coaching of employees.- Provides support in preparation for, and during, social compliance audits.

This is a full-time permanent on-site role on day shift.
About You:
You'll fit right in if you have:
- Degree or Diploma in Human Resources.
- Five plus years of Human Resources experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledgeable in Federal and Provincial Laws governing Employment, Labor and Employee Relations, Health and Safety.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Applications.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of UKG Kronos, Workday preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge HR Best Practices.
