This position is:

Hybrid, at least 3 days per week in office.

Our department is responsible for both Internal Audit and Security activities


Internal Audit:
The performance and facilitation of audits and reporting on findings and recommendations to inform senior management and improve the company's operations and compliance posture and reduce risk


Security:
Provide assistance/information to third parties where legally obligated through regulations and court documents and mandated under licensing agreements. Perform investigations into claims to reach timely resolutions.


Responsibilities:


  • Prime accountability for managing the company's damage/claims process involving third parties to ensure timely resolution
  • Works with other Eastlink departments to investigate the claim, ensure relevant information is gathered, recommend, and get approval for resolutions
  • Applies critical thinking to assess the circumstances for each situation as it can have unique/different circumstances than similar cases
  • Ensures timely communications to third parties for resolutions
  • Manages information requests from third parties, ensuring Eastlink has a legal obligation to provide information
  • Stays up to date on company systems to determine best sources for sourcing information, work with other business units to gather the information
  • Reviews work performed by others to facilitate requests
  • Ensures that information is provided to third parties according to documented timelines
  • Actions identified security requests from third parties, including after hours if required (rare), engaging other Eastlink departments where required to facilitate requests (equipment requests, testing, etc.)
  • Prepares and submits affidavits when required
  • Contributes to process documentation for systems and processes for fulfilling information requests
  • Administers the system used for tracking and maintaining third party requests
  • Develops and manages statistical reports on activities and volumes
  • Identify improvements to processes in all identified security areas and implement changes
  • Performs other duties as required such as, but not limited to, account reviews, participating in corporate projects and working groups, documenting requirements for tools and performing validation/testing where required

Requirements:


  • A condition of work is the ability to obtain and maintain top secret security clearance
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience
  • Post secondary education in a related field
  • Microsoft office expertise, skilled in Excel functionality
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, demanding environment and has the willingness to dig deep into details yet remain focused on meeting defined objectives
  • Experience performing investigations including assessing claims information regarding property damage/performing investigations and providing recommendations for resolutions that consider both the company and customer experience
  • Experience working with various levels of staff and management
  • Ability to multitask, plan, execute and deliver on projects in a timely manner
  • Demonstrated strong communications skills
  • Ability to build and leverage relationships throughout the business
  • Must be organized with a high attention to detail and understand the importance of accuracy in work
  • Ability to follow established policies & procedures
  • Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
  • Proven expertise working with confidential information; work with law enforcement and other government agencies considered an asset
  • Adaptable to changing environments, systems, processes
  • Experience with ticketing systems is considered an asset
  • Understanding of telecommunications services considered an asset
  • Previous experience creating and maintaining process documentation considered an asset
