Accounts Payable Administrator - Toronto, Canada - Tradition Fine Foods
Description
Reporting to the Controller, the AP Administrator will be responsible for the performance of a variety of accounts payable and accounting duties, including verifying and entering invoices, vendor payments and account reconciliations.
Main Responsiblities
- Accurately reviewing, coding, and processing vendor invoices on a timely basis
- Preparing payment batches using Payment Wizard in SAP Batch Master, and maximizing vendor rebates for early payments
- Performing monthly account reconciliations including bank and other general ledger accounts
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Verifying vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
- Reconciling Visa cards on a monthly basis and ensuring all related expenses are entered timely within the period
- Filing and performing related administrative duties as assigned
- Compiling data pertaining to expenses and performing basic analysis
- Assisting with Year-End audit and review process
- Generating ideas to streamline processes and automation
- Adhoc requests, projects and reassignment of duties dependent on department needs
- Act as the backup for the A/R administrator as and when required
What will make you successful:
- University degree or College diploma with an emphasis on accounting or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience in AP/AR experience required.
- Exposure to basic accounting concepts and principles an asset/
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal & written) and the ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word and Gmail.
- Experience with accounting ERP required, experience with SAP Batch Master would be considered a definite asset.
- Ability to work under pressure, set and meet deadlines with an attention to detail in all areas of work.
- Strong work ethic.
