About Us:
Western English Language Centre (WELC) develops and delivers a range of English language programs that support international student success and contribute to the internationalization goals of the university.

Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in communications or public relations, some undergraduate courses in finance and accounting
Experience:
- 3 years experience providing administrative support and customer service in a postsecondary environment
- Experience in student recruitment, admissions or financial services is preferred
- Experience using Salesforce Client Relationship Management (CRM) software preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of postsecondary programs similar to WELC
- Ability to collect and analyze data in an objective manner to make appropriate decisions and recommendations
- Ability to make decisions and recommendations that are clearly linked to the organization's strategy and goals
- Ability to understand, interpret, and effectively communicate University guidelines, policies and practices to key stakeholders
- Detailoriented with an ability to process information with high levels of accuracy
- Customer service skills to understand customer needs and expectations, with a desire to deliver helpful and reliable service to the University community
- Interpersonal skills to liaise with prospective and current students, staff, faculty and other members of the Western community
- Verbal communication skills to translate information into easily understood terms, summarize information, and provide a rationale for action
- Ability to establish rapport with people from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to work within a flexible schedule to accommodate the University's events and activities
- Ability to multitask and maintain an organized and effective personal work environment
- Selfdirected, and comfortable exercising discretion and independent judgment in a fast
- Ability to work in a manner that models best practices in confidentiality standards
- Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, proficiency with Outlook mail merge or alternative campaign software preferred
- Ability and willingness to stay abreast of technological developments
- Familiarity with University policies and procedures preferred
